100 things about me (Parts 6 to 10)

The One Big o' Post-a-rama:
- 51. My first car was a bare-bone Chevy Chevette.
- 52. Favorite radio stations in high school: Mighty 690 (XTRA), KIQQ.
- 53. Currently listen only to: KROQ, KFWB, 971 FM Talk.
- 54. Been to all 50 states. Most of them on road trips.
- 55. Rarely drink.
- 56. Don't gamble -I studied statistics in college, remember?
- 57. Don't smoke.
- 58. Favorite sport: swimming, soccer.
- 59. Favorite sport to watch: football.
- 60. Met Bill Clinton in Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica when he was campaigning for President.
- 61. Met and chatted with Chow Yun Fat when he was shooting a movie in Downtown L.A.
- 62. Have had only one full time job.
- 63. Been married twice.
- 64. Had major cold feet before first marriage.
- 65. Married for the second time in Las Vegas. Proposed the week before.
- 66. Only six people were present in that wedding, including the bride, groom and the minister.
- 67. My aggressive driving habits were formed out of necessity.
- 68. Pet Peeve: cars stop on yellow. A yellow light means "proceed with caution" according to the Calif Vehicle Code.
- 69. Voted for Bush (41) in 1988, but came to my senses and became a Democrat since then.
- 70. The rich get their tax cuts, the poor get their welfare. The middle class are the ones screwed.
- 71. Priority in my family: 1. My son. 2. My wife. 3. Me.
- 72. Only fear I have - anything happen to #1 and #2.
- 73. Other than that, I can stare anything, or anyone, down.
- 74. Wore braces for 12 years.
- 75. Had part of my lower jaw sawed off to correct a lower bite.
- 76. I love clocks. I have seven in my cubicle.
- 77. Worked on a computer for the first time in 1982. A mainframe.
- 78. I procrastinate. My productivity increases exponentially as the deadline gets closer.
- 79. Prefer stick shift to automatic transmission.
- 80. Can cook a four course meal in one hour. (Iron Chef!)
- 81. Hate reality shows with a passion.
- 82. Hate American Idol.
- 83. I'm a Law & Order junkie. Hate CSI.
- 84. Started collecting records freshman year in college. By the time I finished school I had 3,500. I also have 1,000 singles, 750 tapes, 1,000 CDs, and about 10,000 songs in my computer.
- 85. Never considered getting an iPod. Can't fit all my music in.
- 86. I created a radio station instead. Right now I can pick it up from any computer over the internet. Hopefully some day I can pick it up in my car.
- 87. I bought a computer just to run my radio station.
- 88. Played Dr Frankenstein and put together a computer by myself awhile ago. It worked. But I will never do it again.
- 89. I am lazy. Very lazy.
- 90. But I end up doing a lot of things because no one else knows how to do but me. At work. At home. No one can even teach Step classes like me.
- 91. I am a walking Thomas Guide (L.A. County edition, at least). I get calls from family and friends when they get lost or stuck in traffic - any time of the day.
- 92. Have only one other "vice".
- 93. All-time favorite movie was "The Sting" with Paul Newman and Robert Redford. I remember seeing it in the theatre in Hong Kong when I was 9.
- 94. All-time favorite TV show was "The X-Files". All 9 seasons. When it was good, nothing can touch it. Creepy. Scary. Jaw-dropping. Gross. Sad. Funny. Yes, when it's funny, it's the funniest show on TV.
- 95. My all-time favorite book is a classic Chinese novel ("Shui Hu", translated as "The Water Margin" or "Outlaws of the Marsh") written in the 14th century. It was about a gang of 108 bandits from various social backgrounds got together on an island and rebel against the government. Sort of like a bunch of "Robin Hoods".
- 96. So obviously I read Chinese. I can also write and speak Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), English (duh!), y poquito espanol.
- 97. My goal in life is to "Raise a Good Family". Yesterday I realized that I already have all the pieces. I am realizing my dream, and that's a mighty good feeling.
- 98. My wife is the best wife a man could ask for, and the best mother my kids could have.
- 99. My next goal: to walk my daughter down the aisle on her wedding day.
- 100. She is scheduled to be born on March 24th, 2005.
