Help Desk Confessionals

I'm a systems administrator who provides tech support, data analysis, and report generation for about 300 users. No support staff. No other help. Just me.

Action Packed

Too much going on, which push blogging further and further down the list of my priorities.

We are selling our house, and in the process of buying another one. So Lori and I (mostly Lori) have been spending a lot of time cleaning up the house in order to attract buyers. We have probably had 20 or more prospective buyers stopped by, and have two competing offers on the table. So far so good. The house we are buying is in the High Desert area, between L.A. and Vegas. The house is new (not built yet) and big (2400 sq ft), two storeys, with an attached guest house.

Work has been crazy too. Today I was in two meetings that took up most of the day, which means that the tech support stuff are piling up, not to mention I'm running data for upcoming contract RFP, plus getting involved with a conversion project dealing with fund disbursement.
